Sofia, day one: turning behavior into on-chain reputation

Today we're starting Sofia. Two of us, as the graduation project for our web-dev degree, but we're not treating it like a school assignment. The bet is bigger than the grade.

The premise is simple to say and hard to build: take the signals a person already generates (what they do, where, how consistently) and turn them into reputation that lives on-chain, not in a private database we happen to control. On Intuition that means the atom/triple model: identities and claims become objects you can point at, attest to, and build on top of.

The bet

We think reputation should be structured claims, not a score. A number is opaque; a triple ("this subject, did, this thing") is legible: you can argue with it, extend it, or stake on it. Starting from claims instead of a single figure feels like the more honest foundation. We'll find out if it holds.

What we expect to be hard

Onboarding. Mapping messy human activity onto clean attestations is where the difficulty will hide: every edge case is a small judgment call about what a signal means. And restraint: an attestation is public and durable, so the cost of getting the model wrong is higher than in a normal app. That changes how you build.

Why in public

Sofia is the start of this journal, and the spine the rest will hang off: the same atom/triple thinking will show up later in work on AI agents and on Circles. We don't know yet what it becomes. That's exactly why it's worth writing down from day one.
